Oooh – lots of lovely new things have been arriving at the shop this week and we’re very excited to announce the arrival of the Charnos Lingerie Carmen collection. This is a gorgeous Ivory and Gold set and is already selling very well in our shop.

In other news, we were delighted to meet Mathieu Grodner yesterday in our shop. A thoroughly charming man, he is the son of Simone Perele President Phillipe Grodner. We are currently kicking ourselves for forgetting to take a picture of him to put on here – but trust us, he was lovely We were very excited to be able to tell him how much we adore Simone Perele Lingerie and we are looking forward to stocking more of their gorgeous collections in the future.

Something very new and very gorgeous has just arrived from Implicite Lingerie this morning too – but we’re not telling what it is More soon….

Well, we had a fantastic response to our new website, www.blushbargainbras.com,  and we’re grateful to each and every person who has visited: whether it was to place an order or just to say hello and give us some feedback. In fact, we were so busy that our website got a little exhausted and broke! Some of you may have tried to make a purchase but found that an error message kept appearing when you tried to register an account, order as a guest or log into an existing account, and we’re really sorry if this has caused frustration and inconvenience. We are very pleased to announce, however, that this problem has now been resolved and it’s all up and working again beautifully. Now all I have to do is go and put some more stock up there…

Hello again

There has been much hilarity at Blush HQ this morning, and we think it might be the stress of launching the new website that has caused Pam to sit at her desk, cherry red, laughing hysterically at the word ‘moo’. Or she might just be insane. Either way, a new website has been launched and we’re just itching to tell you all about it.

For a couple of years, we’ve used Ebay to clear our end of line items after they come off the website, but there have been a couple of drawbacks to this. Firstly, it takes an inordinate amount of time to list new items and maintain previous listings on Ebay. Secondly, Ebay is quite an expensive platform to use, and thirdly, not everybody likes or trusts Ebay. So, after mulling the idea over with a hot pot of tea and a packet of biscuits, we decided to launch a second website just for sale items. We’ve called it www.blushbargainbras.com and it’s here now for your delectation and delight. Whether you’re looking for a new set of undies or you need to replace a favourite piece, everything that we have on sale will be listed on this site. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of time to list all the sale items that we’ve accumulated over the years, so please do keep checking back to see what’s new. If you’re looking for anything in particular in the meantime, please just give us a call or send us an email and we’ll see if we can help.

In other news, we now have the brand new Simone Perele Aura collection in stock. This is a gorgeous strapless bra with removable bean bag enhancers, so you can still have a bit of oomph while enjoying smooth lines and no straps. This can be seen in store and also on our website at Simone Perele Lingerie

The new Panache Autumn/Winter collection is due to arrive at the end of the month, so all you lovely D+ ladies, watch this space!

In Macclesfield we have a special holiday that is known as Barnaby.

Traditionally, when Macclesfield was full of mills and factories, the town would empty for an entire two weeks, anyone left behind would find it pretty difficult to find anything open.

In recent years this was sadly neglected, but now all that has changed; a group of lovely people decided that it was time to bring Barnaby back to life and put Macclesfield back on the map.

A weekend of street entertainment, theatre, music, poetry and much more – right here in Macclesfield this coming weekend 17th to the 19th June 2011.

When we bought the new shop a few years ago, little did we know that we were also getting a couple of sitting tenants.

We have grown accustomed to the rattling of hangers and the things that mysteriously go missing from time to time, but when one of our guests puts in an actual appearance it still manages to scare us half to death!

Last night was no exception, the little old lady who makes an appearance on the first floor, seemed to be very interested in a rail full of Prima Donna bras.  She was dressed in 1920′s style clothing, so there is a possibility that she had seen them, even back in her day.

When we moved in to the new shop, four years ago, we actually saw a gentleman walk across the landing and down the stairs.  Pam raised the alarm, as she thought we had an intruder, but a full search unveiled no one at all.  Since that time we have had plenty of contact.  Should we call TAPs?
